Inform customers quickly and double-check your reasoning. Motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and the panels that run them.
Works with no signal. Syncs when it has one.
The motor came in running hot, and the heat arrived suddenly rather than creeping up. Two readings taken while it ran agree: a bearing at 94 °C and a vibration signature strongest at running speed, radial, with little axial. Read together they point to an overheating bearing and an imbalance whose source is not yet pinned down among the rotor, the coupling and the fan.
The motor is degraded but still working, so this is short-term operation only. A bearing set with the rotor checked while it is open is the recommended path.
